Caring colleagues lost in chaotic management changes

Pros

There exist good people who care about customers and coworkers alike.

Cons

Pure unmitigated chaos. Where once there was startup typical chaos, there is now AI fueled desperation. Direction is unclear, and new management seems to have no idea how to communicate with humans.

- Lots of really great engineers to work with, people are generally nice and personable - Working on a product that helps students

Cons

- Women are leaving at an alarming rate, I've lost half of my female coworkers this year - Leadership doesn't act on attrition, and answers with prompts from ChatGPT - Women are consistently passed over for promotion, even amongst top performers - Leadership blames issues on us not being team players and leaders being newly hired (nearing 1 year of employment at Quizlet)
