Management team turned their back to the elephant in the room.

Cons

favoritism very apparent with lack of supervision. Workload was carried by the good ole boy system.

Pros

Decent benefits, clear-cut safety culture, easy instruction on daily responsibilities, generally friendly staff (with the exception of few who treat new people who are unfamiliar with work conditions unfairly- really no different than many other jobs).

Cons

Dirty and sometimes dangerous work environment, stressful if you care about the quality of work you put out, heavier responsibility for those that assume the position of doing quality work (again, not much different from many other jobs out there.)
