Pros

Management is very supportive and makes the work place enjoyable for both employees and visitors, laughter fills the air. Almost everyone works together as a team effort, most workers compliment each other in covering diversity of needs when required.

Cons

Upon initial hiring I was asked to perform two different facets in the work place. Two months in I was asked to perform an additional procedure, another month goes by and an additional facet of the workplace is added, then two more months and additional work is layered into my everyday activity. Now Eight months of Employment and I am doing six jobs in a six hour time slot at the Same rate I was getting since my 90 days were reached.

Pros

I loved everyone in the IT staff I worked with, they were all wonderful folks trying to do the best they can in the environment they worked. If you are looking for a good, secure place to work, I think this is the place. They know their market well and feel like a very well-established and secure company.

Cons

This is a trucking company, not an IT company. IT is simply a tool to get the trucking done. I have previously worked at a company that threaded their employees like adults and we acted like adults. During covid, when working at home, upper management had all of IT fill out a daily activity sheet. To the best of my knowledge, none of IT management looked at it, it was only for the upper brass. The upper management did not trust the cloud so hosted everything themselves, which, considering the size of the organization, seems to be more of a control issue then anything else. In the end, I left because I felt like IT was treated by upper management like the folks that work in the docks. Maybe the folks on the docks need to be managed that way, good IT professionals don't, another opertunity came knocking so I moved on.
