Pros

I am not sure there are any pros. People you work with generally pretty good unless they subscribe to company's culture of "boss is always right".

Cons

No merit increases, no bonuses to speak of, rudeness of management, (coming from the culture mentioned above), no consideration for personal time whatsoever.

Pros

The people at RRD are highly talented, truly care about customers and take pride in their work. For the most part it was a very stable company with average pay. My boss was very flexible with my working hours especially with kids. You also have the opportunity to work with some of the largest and most recognizable companies in the world.

Cons

Little to no bonuses, MAX and I mean MAX pay raise is 3%/yr...but realistically it''s more like 1%. They cut the pension program when I worked there too. No upward growth opportunities. They prefer that you be satisfied with pulling the same lever day after day..which can be boring if you're an innovative/creative person. RRD has 60K employees globally and it's very easy to get lost in the fold. Oh and the changes...there's always a new merger, value prop, company spin etc.

Pros

Mobility across other teams is possible, good people definitely work at RRD - willing to help out and good team environment for the most part, opportunities to volunteer with workplace Big Brother Big Sister program

Cons

Huge company - so when you have a good idea about how you can improve something it usually takes a long time to actually get the approval to make it happen, software programs are not up to date in the translation dept, sales and production teams do not get along that well - they don't work together when coming up with estimates / quotes
