Pros
Overtime is almost always available, the pay is great for how easy each job is, advancement from within is easily obtainable, no uniforms, climate controlled factory, can use a personal bluetooth speaker, can eat/drink while working (within reason), co-workers are easy to get along with, good place to learn entry level machinery, interesting to learn and help is always offered if you fall behind
Cons
Can be stressful on the body, 8 hours of mandatory overtime every other weekend (unless you can find someone to work it for you), hard to get time off, if you want to use vacation that you haven't scheduled in the beginning of the year, then you also have to find coverage, getting to day shift is based on seniority (you'll be waiting years in some positions), somewhat dirty environment, very high school like drama once in awhile (mostly with temps that come and go), no 401k match or any type of benefits anymore, HR comes and goes, the list goes on
