The best part of the job is the people. You form a bond with coworkers unlike any other company. You work daily with motivated, friendly employees who share a common vision. The vision is to flawlessly execute the shipping needs of your customers. As your successes grow as an office, you learn to trust eachother and thrive as a team. Upper management from our HQ is very supportive. A good work ethic is noticed and appreciated, and those who work hard, and work smart, are rewarded. There is a fine balance of motivation and encouragement, but also allowing employees the space to perform their own duties which they are responsible for. When an employee has to work extra hours for a project, it is often insisted that they sleep in, or get to leave early the next day as a sign of good will. Each employee starts at the Transportation Sales position, and has the ability to move up in the company through dedication and production. Monthly and yearly awards are given to deserved employees. Each office participates in a quarterly office outing to a game, concert, or event which further helps office morale. Our particular office grills food on some Fridays, to celebrate a strong week's performance. The team atmosphere is second to none, and you even grow close to employees in our other offices all over the US. Each employee has a significant role, and it takes every component for overall growth.

Simply put R2 is a for profit company. R2 cares about its employees and gives you the tools you need to be successful. That being said, no one is going to hold your hand and sing kumbaya with you or give you handouts. They mean business. If you want things handed to you go join the Bernie campaign. Everyone who has succeeded at R2 has worked their butt off to get where they are. YES at any company you can spin your wheels, tire yourself out and get no where in your career.. At that point take a long look in the mirror and realize you didn't take the time to build the relationships you needed to succeed. If you don't go after the opportunities that R2 constantly has to offer, and then feel slighted that you weren't awarded a promotion.. Take a trip back to the mirror and thank the guy or gal staring back at you.
