      Underpaid/Overworked and Unprofessional Management

      Pros

      Good benefits and first job in the industry. The biggest thing I learned was how to not run a business because most employees are very unhappy and trying to get out once they understand what is going on.

      Cons

      This is a company that looks down on you for taking lunch. I worked for the company for years where they didn't let me go to lunch. Just recently they started allowing for an hour but if you take 30 minutes they ask you where you went. When I first started one half of the upper management would come in every day and say they are glad to see I came back to work another day. That should have been a red flag. The other half of the upper management team which doesn't care about its workers calls everyone names on a regular basis and acts very unprofessional. The only way you are going anywhere with this company is if you are a friend of the management team. They sell you on the American dream and then when you perform they pocket the money and give promotions to the friend. This company also makes you work nights and weekends especially if you advance through the company at all. They don't provide you a work phone and make you call from your personal cell phone. They also believe you shouldn't be compensated for this time.

      We would like to thank you for bringing up some valuable points with your review. We agree our employees are ‘the face of the company’ and are our true assets at R2 Logistics. We’re open to saying the position isn’t for everyone, and would like to thank our associates for putting in the effort that has helped us grow year after year. Company promotions follow this appreciation, as all of our branch managers have worked their way up from the Logistics Sales position; usually within a couple of years.

      Worry about your job even when they say you shouldn’t

      The office I was in had a fun atmosphere even when there were times we got frustrated with each other

      Cons

      The employees are under appreciated by upper management and we were told that even though other offices were closing we didn’t have to worry about our jobs. A couple weeks later, there was a huge downsizing everywhere except the biggest office where they were actually hiring.

      Laid back environment. Flexible sched

      Cons

      Most of the mgmnt/VP's are less than honest. Tell you one thing, then do something different. The comp plan is atrocious, base pay is average. Not a good place to grow a career. High rate of turnover. Not uncommon for someone to work here for a month or so and then quit. No training at all. Greed dictates most of upper mgmt actions. Dont work here! They'll sell you some BS in the interview. 85% is not attainable under the current structure.
