Pros

Great topics to work on, fantastic and motivated colleagues, intellectual stimulation and challenges, constant learning and growth opportunities. vibrant culture in my office. Very strong public good mission and feeling that your work makes a difference.

Cons

Long hours because of gripping topics and always juggling priorities on different projects. You make your own path and have to find your own opportunities, which can be daunting for some and exhilarating for others.

Pros

Lunchtime yoga. Social clubs like volleyball, chess, wine, music and surfing. They contribute over 10% to retirement and it increases with your age. High salaries. No micro-managing. Management treats us like adults and experts in our field, then lets us do our work. Friendly atmosphere. There is a myth that the organization is pro military industrial complex, but it's not -- it is non-partisan and non-biased.

Cons

Wish we could telecommute more.
