Pros

Compensation + benefits package are very competitive in the Canadian banking sector. Good work/life balance if working in middle office/risk.

Cons

Very hierarchical, very political as any large organization. Office felt small and constricted, not very modern/updated. People don't necessarily exude the firm's values.

Pros

Good RESSOP and Flexbenefits, Teammates are helpful and willing to mentor each other to better service clients --a super collaborative environment

Cons

I've had two managers-one did not care what I did (did not even know which day I was being transferred when my training was finished until another team member mentioned it during morning meeting) while the other one was prone to favouritism and abused/power tripped hard (would leave the branch on short notice whenever they could) and the pay is not reflective of the amount of work and knowledge clients rely on us to have
