Pros

When I started working at RBC in 1986, I was straight out of high school and had done work experience with them a few times. They hired me to cover for staff going to work at Expo and with very little training, they had the confidence to put me servicing customers. They have amazing benefits, and the HR department does everything they can to help. They help find you counselling, specialists for health problems, help by offering support options when it comes to an ill or dying parent, provide access to counselling for addiction for you, or a family member. Too many to list. I can speak from experience that if you become ill and are unable to work, they still look out for your best interest and help organize plans to try to help financially and finding specialists. Even not being an "active" employee, I still maintain my "staff" status and all the benefits I had prior to my illness.

Cons

The only real con I can think of is that there should be more awareness of the support programs.

Pros

Amazing organization to work for. Great benefits and packages for retirement. The organization is extremely helpful with any life events that may happen in your life such as death, babies, marriage etc.

Cons

I do not feel as there are any cons that I have experienced while working for RBC royal bank of Canada.
