Pros

Midtown location and convenient to get to. That's literally it though.

Cons

Very poor management from both managers and supervisors. No accountability whatsoever, and really poor hiring practices. They don't hold paraprofessionals to high enough standards and they are not vetted enough before hiring, nor do they have very stringent hiring practices. The manager of the paraprofessional department tends to play favorites very often, as does the Vice President. They also does not handle priorities well either. They overwork you and give you tasks that fall well outside of your job description in which you aren't compensated extra for. More emphasis and enforcement is also placed on people working in office 3 days per week as opposed to the actual tasks and hard work that's being done by the employees. Much of the blame will also fall onto your shoulders as well whenever something goes awry. Very low pay as well.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While this review is anonymous and does not provide enough information for us to directly address the specific concerns raised, we take all feedback seriously. We have seen similar anonymous comments posted across multiple review platforms, which makes it difficult to engage in a productive conversation or fully understand the circumstances being referenced. As Vice President, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly to better understand your experience and discuss any concerns you may have. At RCM, we take great pride in the culture we have built and the success of our employees. Many of our team members have been with the company for years and have advanced their careers through growth, development, and promotion opportunities. We encourage anyone interested in learning about our organization to review the career paths and tenure of our employees on LinkedIn. We are also proud of the relationships we have built with our clients, many of whom have partnered with us for years because of the quality of our services, our providers, and our people. While no organization is perfect, we are committed to continuous improvement and creating an environment where employees can succeed. Regarding our in-office collaboration policy, we believe that spending time together in the office fosters teamwork, mentorship, communication, and overall business success. Our three-day in-office schedule is an intentional part of our culture and has contributed positively to both employee development and company performance. We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations and wish you the very best in your future endeavors. If you would like to discuss your concerns directly, I would be happy to speak with you personally. Marc D. Chafetz Vice President

Pros

The mission (supporting schools and students) is meaningful in theory.

Cons

Leadership and management lack alignment, structure, and clear communication, which creates confusion and frustration across teams. As a K12 Sales Manager (AE/BDM), I was never given clearly defined job duties, success metrics, or proper onboarding. I was frequently told I was “doing great” and to “keep doing what I was doing,” while receiving contradictory direction from different managers. There was no single source of truth regarding priorities or expectations, making it difficult to feel confident or successful in the role. Training and support were minimal. I often felt like I was guessing at how to do my job correctly, which led to disengagement and a lack of motivation, not due to lack of effort, but lack of structure. The team culture was also deeply problematic. Despite there being no formally assigned territories, some team members were extremely territorial and hostile. In one instance, a colleague cussed me out before even properly introducing herself. In others, I was aggressively called out for messaging a contact who had not been contacted in over a year; instead of speaking to me directly, the individual escalated the situation by copying senior leadership, including the CEO. This type of behavior was not isolated and appeared to be tolerated, if not enabled, by leadership. Rather than collaboration, the environment fostered defensiveness, fear of stepping on toes, and unnecessary internal conflict. Many employees seemed quietly frustrated but disengaged, which made it clear these issues were systemic rather than individual. Some even reached out to me after I separated from RCM to vent about how unhappy they’ve been and that they understood completely why I wouldn’t want to work there anymore. They also mentioned that this role, specifically, had extremely low retention rates (everyone left). Overall, I was not supported, developed, or set up to succeed, and I regret the time I spent in this role. I would strongly caution others who value clear leadership, collaboration, and a healthy work culture.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I wanted to respond personally, as I believe it’s important for leadership to acknowledge feedback directly and thoughtfully. I’m sorry that your time at RCM did not meet your expectations and that you left feeling frustrated. That’s never the outcome we want for anyone who joins our organization. We take employee experience seriously and continually work to improve communication, structure, and collaboration across teams. Many of our employees build long-term careers with RCM, and we’re proud of that tenure. We remain committed to providing a respectful, supportive environment and using feedback to continue improving. If you’re open to it, I would welcome a direct conversation to discuss your experience more fully. Feel free to email me directly. I remain open to listening. I wish you success in your next chapter.
