Pros

Hours are fairly consistent, Your coworkers are amazing.

Cons

They don't pay well at all. $11hr is not enough to live on, work week is 32 hours or so a week. The management will tell you one thing, knowing full well things are changing tomorrow. Programs can end at the drop of a hat. A lot of cold calling trying to sell products. The environment is toxic. Your co-workers are what will get you through, you will notice a lot of people that feel trapped. This job drains your soul.

Thank you for sharing your comments on your RDI experience. We have been operating as a successful contact center for 42 years. One of the reasons for that is our HUSTLE. We partner with over 100 clients across the country, and yes… sometimes we are asked to make changes on the fly. But we prioritize the well-being of our employees over all else. We offer both full time (35+ hours/week) and Part time (22+ hours/week). We also hope every RDI employee understands that we have a Culture Director (ELLWell) at each site whose door is always open to discuss all manner of concerns. Our focus is to make sure that each employee feels 1. Your job is important, 2. Your voice is heard, and 3. You have an opportunity to grow within the company. You are correct, our employees are the driving energy of RDI.

This doesn't feel like a job but more like a community. They try to keep their employees happy and welcomed. They have different activities and challenges that keeps everyone connected and healthy. If you have any problems that they can help with, they go out of their way to help.

Cons

Daycare or School help would be great

Wow, thanks for these comments about RDI. What you’re describing is ELLWell (Earn, Learn, Live Well) to a T. It’s no accident that our employees often share these thoughts. We want to provide a workplace that promotes Employee Engagement. As a company we have looked into different ongoing opportunities to offer to our team members (including those you mentioned), and are always looking for new 'perks' we can offer!

We hope that most of our employees would agree with you that our employees are easy to get along with. Our investment into culture in the workplace really makes us stand out so we’re not “like most call centers.” We strive to be better and want to provide the opportunities for success for EACH and EVERY employee at RDI. As for the sitting for long hours, we can understand that feeling, for sure. However, at each of our locations we have an ELLWell Relaxation Lounge for when you need that mid-day stretch or want to play 'hoops' against your Culture Director!
