Pros

Many programs to sell in (insurance, tv packages, etc) but can be tough to break into them. Always hiring. Steady income. SOme programs have commission bonuses too.

Cons

High turnover, very "high-schoolish," very sedentary environment, sales numbers are always watched. Track your hours closely because their tracking system will short you on hours. There are a lot of rules in the telemarketing industry so you can't have pens or paper at your desk as well as other things.

Pros

There are a variety of client programs to work on and you're always given the tools needed to succeed. Many employees worked on average for the company 6 or more years, it's a giant family. Open door policy was always in affect.

Cons

Drama between immature employees. Keep put of it and you'll be fine. Pay isn't what it should be which makes many employees feel undervalued.
