Good People, Frustrating Business Practices

I felt like my team was a family and cared about me as a person Decent pay for a first job right out of college

Cons

Much of middle management still thought about the industry like it was decades ago. Seems like there were a lot of things that were done just because “that’s how we’ve always done it” Surprise firings and a mass exodus of dissatisfied employees in 2019 was very demoralizing Not much opportunity for advancement Pay increases hard to come by Over reliance on temporary employees

Pros

- Flexible work schedule. You can basically work any hours you want from the start date until the end date for your assignments. Most of my work starts Wednesday and ends on Saturday each week, so I usually work Thursday-Saturday a few hours each day. - My experiences with the management have been good, they are welcoming and allow you to do your own thing once you are trained and comfortable. - Pay. The hours are low but you are paid per price collected for most jobs, which means the faster you are, the higher your hourly rate is. This motivates me to work hard and efficient to ensure I am making a good rate.

Cons

- Minimal hours (for me personally). I work about 10-12 hours a week which is a great 2nd job for extra money, but since the work is usually shared across all data collectors, its hard to get a lot of hours as a PT collector. This job was great for me during college to help cover the few expenses that I had.
