Pros

Well known in the real world. People except the Realtor here to be above the rest although they will take anybody no its no different then any other real estate company.

Cons

The main negative is the high over head cost of working at Re/Max the desk fees are up to five time higher then other firm I have checked out.

Pros

Great people, information sharing, colleagues and opportunities. All agents and franchisees are independently owned and operated. If you are thinking of working for REMAX that means you have to look behind the front image of the company and get to know the individul office, colleagues and opportunities since they may vary a lot from office to office and even from one agent to another. But the company is very, very open to information to candidates who are interested in working in real estate or owning a franchise. Talk to the people, look for the ones who are successful and choose to work with the ones that you like. If you are hard-working and capable of thinking "out-of-the box" RE/MAX is the right place

Cons

Since it's franchised it is at times very disorganized / decentralised. You have to create your own network. There are many, many successful people to work with but sometimes you find yourself in the middle of some naggers and then it's time for you to make a decision who you want your peers to be. If you are not pro-active this is not the company for you.
