Would not recommend until Senior Leadership changes
Pros
DEI programs, sabbatical, great people at low and mid-level jobs.
Cons
Current CEO and senior leadership team are destroying the culture that made REI great. As Peter Drucker said, "Culture eats strategy for breakfast" and unfortunately that is what is slowly happening at the Co-op. No longer are employees actively helping one another, but rather looking out for #1/themselves. This is due to bringing in toxic people at VP and up positions from other companies. The CEO is either willfully ignorant or oblivious to the workplace culture he is allowing to grow...I love the Co-op and hope to see a new CEO and senior level management in place soon. I'm looking at you Board of Directors - ask yourself if you REALLY know what's going on at the Co-op?
