Pros

Pretty easy and straightforward job. Working with great people and access to good discounts

Cons

Hours are insanely hard to acquire unless your fulltime and the managment is not really there to support you

Pros

Prodeals are great. good insurance

Cons

Everything else. REI is a horrible toxic company that uses there "co-op way" and "core values" to manipulate and gaslight empolyees. REI has a history of blacklisting people. They don't fire people. they "coach them out" which essentailly means that they make their jobs so awful the person will just. Their business model is really bad and i highly doubt their physical locations will still be open in ten years. They find every way they possibly can to not pay people a livable wage. especially employees who are people of color. REI is racist, sexist, ableist, and really just a down right awful company. The marketing team is fantastic. the things that are able to sweep under the rug is pretty impressive.
