Pros

I could find only one positive point. 1) Office location.

Cons

1) First of all there is no culture, learning and expertise. 2) Unskilled and incapable people sitting at a decision making position. Mid level managers are worst of lot. There are people who have no credentials as well as no knowledge either technically or in management but impose themselves in every other task making working much more frustrating. 3) To make it clear REI India have no assets (everything is rented) so not sure how much job security is there. It is vendor to REI US and does some small time projects of Pune local government. So by no way (neither legally nor working wise) it is a subsidiary to REI US. 4) Work is sub par and no guidance or learning will be provided if you are at junior position. This company can prove as career killer if someone starts their career with it. 5) Some of the positive reviews are added by management themselves in order to retain and hire new joiners. There have been frequent cases where people run away after staying just day or 2. 6) Policies are at it worst. You have to clock 9 hrs of working time per day compulsorily, a minute less to that will get you salary deducted. Your breaks are monitored at minute level. Other policies are : a) No sick leave/emergency leave. b) Only 1.5 months paid maternity leave (law states 3 months). c) No paternity leave. d) No lunches, snacks etc. e) Work from home only if management feels that you are loaded with work. 7) Promises in this company is a lie and won't be honored. Management is known to not keep their word. Your comp offs will not be recorded properly and will be denied later on. 8) Culture and atmosphere is very dull, no outings, party etc. 9) Managers are rude, shouting is frequent at this place. Your suggestions will be brutally killed. 10) In my case they called my employer after first interview round in order to verify my salary. They are highly unprofessional. Junior managers are more interested in knowing candidates salary. So don't reveal your salary just to anyone. In short, if you are capable enough this is not a place for you

Pros

From my last 3 years of experience, I can positively say that, REI India has fairly open and transparent culture; it seems to follow legacy from its parent company REI Systems Inc. You get to choose area of work according to your strengths, opportunities to do what you like doing. There is a certain structure, but there are no barriers due to hierarchy Management is very open. They encourage individuals taking up new challenges, supports them to taking risks, and gives liberty in making decisions.

Cons

As a start-up, it has its own limitations; facility-wise there is a need for improvement, however minimum requirements are taken care off.

Pros

I have been working at REI Systems for ~3 months and I have never been so happy to go to work in the morning. Everyone is very friendly and working hours are very flexible, allowing your life to be more than work. REI managers also challenge you and work with you to advance your career to the next step. Professional development hours are very helpful in expanding your skillset as REI encourages continuous improvement for every employee. Management is very reactive to any employee concerns and always works to fully engage employees.

Cons

Salary raises could be more frequent but there is an initiative in place in an attempt to mediate this.
