Thank you for your feedback. We all grow by receiving feedback on our performance – employees, managers, leaders. Our Management Team plans and adjusts our approach to projects and accounts to balance client needs, resources, and workload. This takes ongoing refinement from many sources - this importantly relies on input and feedback from all on the team. To maintain our culture of openness, transparency, and feedback, we encourage everyone to share ideas and feedback. We do hope you felt you could share input while here at REI. Also, thank you for doing that with your post. Employees are encouraged to share ideas and concerns through all available avenues – 1:1 conversations with their managers, skip 1:1 conversations (speaking to their boss’ boss), our anonymous “Text the Execs” mobile app, and even confidential conversations with our onsite coach. We wish you the best in your career.

Pros

Great work life balance, supportive culture. Invests in employees certifications. Great HQ staff. HR onboarding process great. Festive holiday parties (pre-COVID.) Great employee recognition program.

Cons

Consulting practice run by more junior employees. Experienced employees might have a hard time joining this team due to this, as well as an awkward interviewing process. Lack of communication during the (internal) hiring process was frustrating. Growing company needs to move away from thinking like a small company, less unanimous by-committee decision making. Employee review process awkward; each employee evaluates each other, which leads to inevitable criticisms of one another, which I feel doesn't help employee to employee relations. Not (enough) women in the upper ranks of the company.
