Pros

RF-Smart gave me a better understanding of how people work, improved me thinking on my feet as well as improved my ability to read between the lines. These are all skills I didn't realize I was lacking until I started to work here.

Cons

RF-Smart is like a well maintained illusion. All employees are polite and for the most part wont yell or even swear. Its like a very polite battlefield. Get ready to have a meeting to schedule meetings. They oversell the product alot, make promises and deadlines to the customer they know they can't keep. Its ethically questionable to say the least. Because a customer will pay for functionality A-C, but you are only told to do A-B. Or better yet there will be a bug in the code causing a lack of functionality. But it will be told to the customer that its an added feature they are requesting which they will need to pay for. They constantly refer to the customers as "not smart" and always complain they don't know how to use the technology. When in reality the product is very unstable. And you would think there would be alot of work to fix all the unstable code. Although there is alot of work, doesn't mean you can just work on it. The work they bring into the sprint is more focused on revenue than maintenance. Overall this makes for a very stressed environment.(POC: oofta >nosejob> 100)

RF-SMART wants the worst for people who leave

Pros

there's 3 fridges. That's it.

Cons

Learned that they cashed out my 401K without giving me the option to roll it over. I'll now be taxed to hell because of this. The RF-SMART HR department are some of the most disingenuous people I've ever worked around. The EVP of HR is a shark who disregarded my quality of life, along with the Total Rewards Manager who was promoted from Talent Acquisition Coordinator to HRBP to Total Rewards Manager with no prior HR experience other than scheduling and administrative assistant duties. The Global Director of Talent Acquisition was also complicit, and was hired to be in the Jacksonville, FL office, but is conveniently still remote despite the company having an intolerance for that. RF-SMART has an awful leadership team and is extremely cliquey. If you don't suck up to their extreme conservative values, you are on the outs. Clearly, that means ruining people financially as well as mentally/physically. But at least they try to cover it up with puff stories about how they donate to specific causes and sponsor scholarships for a school they barely recruit for with software development/engineering since the school doesn't even teach the language they use (RF-SMART doesn't love this). Lot of people have left voluntarily and otherwise lately. It's easy to see why.

Pros

The office staff seemed to enjoy each other's company and had some nice parties. The office working environment was nice and spacious.

Cons

The interview process was stupidly long and involved. By the time I was hired, I had met with 6 people, went to a lunch and met the CEO. It was major overkill for the position. The office staff was very 'clickish' and while they would ostensibly welcome new people, the did not let them into the fold at all, and went out of their way to make me feel like an outsider. The manager was very closed off, and even when asked, would not give me information to help me learn the company, so I could properly perform my duties. I felt like a rat in a maze.
