Pros
-Awesome philosophy and vision -Friendly and creative co-workers -Some opportunities for advancement if you have a college degree and management skills -Excellent place to learn new skills and become more competent -People they serve are good, gentle folks with a desire to recover from mental illness and addictions -Great place to get beginning work experience as a Peer Support Specialist -Always something new happening -Really positive work environment where everyone is treated with respect
Cons
-Always something new happening! Change is so fast-paced that it leaves some employees in the dust and that's been painful to experience over the years -Pay is not great, neither are opportunities for advancement if you don't have a college degree -Benefits are not so wonderful -Upper management and leadership sometimes seem fickle and make arbitrary decisions -Not a lot of promoting from within for upper level positions
