Pros

- Solid pay, benefits, and bonus structure - Company Culture; most people at RLI tend to get along very well and it creates a collaborative, friendly, and productive work environment. - Transparency with management regarding goals, production, and work standards. - Relatively flexible work arrangements. It sounds like this will continue in some capacity once Covid rounds out. I am interested to see what stance the company takes long-term. Regardless, the company has been transparent and constantly seeking feedback from the employees.

Cons

- Some of the Pros above may not be consistent amongst all branch offices due to the structure of the company. All managers have their own style and expectations. -Can be slow to adapt to change, although better than a lot of companies. This is a strength and a weakness.

Pros

The people and the culture are really different here. In all positions I've held, my coworkers have been encouraging and helpful. The company really supports continuing education. Although the company is not really big, there are a lot of opportunities to learn about different aspects of the company and the insurance industry. Employee ownership through the ESOP plan gives incentive to make smart business decisions at every level of the organization. RLI also provides a lot of non-monetary benefits through things like health and wellness programs.

Cons

The company is fairly flat, so growth into management positions can take a long time.
