      - Fast-moving in terms of decision-making and less bureaucracy - Lots of opportunity as we continue to grow - Employee ownership makes employees invested

      - Small relative to the large operations so not as well-known for recruiting - Not top of the market in pure salary, but easily top of the market in overall compensation.

      Great work culture and retirement benefits but high standards and time pressure

      The company cares about your development and work life balance. Additionally the retirement benefits are outstanding.

      There are very high standards for claim handling with limited time to complete all the steps.

      Pros

      The best career decision I ever made was to come to RLI. RLI's greatest strength is its people and culture. The company fosters a supportive, collaborative environment where employees are valued and encouraged to grow. Management is approachable and genuinely cares about employees, and the teamwork among co-workers makes it a great place to work every day.

      Cons

      I only wish I had found RLI years earlier in my career.
