Pros

It is exciting to work for a company that encourages a team effort for design and is passionate about professional development and mentoring. We are fortunate to work in an environment that incorporates all facets of the construction industry from estimators to the building trades

Cons

What RQ lacks as a midsized company, in comparison to what large employers can offer (stock options, additional ancillary perqs and benefits, access to cutting edge technology), it makes up for with a culture of support and collaboration.

Pros

They took me with little experience and are teaching me. Free housing, car, no income tax, time off and flights home. Friendly people. Room to grow. They let me bring my family. Slow pace of life.(Could be good or bad depending on the person.)

Cons

I live on a military base so it is difficult to see family, but I knew that going in .Slow pace of life.(Could be good or bad depending on the person.)

Pros

Innovative Projects: The company is involved in cutting-edge projects that keep you engaged and constantly learning. As a JavaScript developer, I have had the opportunity to work on some truly innovative and challenging tasks. Supportive Team Environment: Despite my preference for working independently, I appreciate the supportive and collaborative team environment. My colleagues are always willing to help and share their knowledge. Professional Growth: There are numerous opportunities for professional growth and development. The company offers regular training sessions, workshops, and access to various learning resources. Flexible Work Hours: The flexible work schedule allows for a good work-life balance. This is particularly important for me as it allows me to spend more time with my family and pursue personal interests. Competitive Compensation: The company offers competitive salaries and benefits, ensuring that employees are fairly compensated for their hard work and contributions.

Cons

High Workload: The workload can be quite heavy at times, leading to long hours and occasional stress. While the projects are interesting, the deadlines can sometimes be challenging to meet. Limited Autonomy: Although there is a supportive team environment, I sometimes feel that there is limited autonomy in decision-making processes. More freedom to implement personal ideas would be beneficial. Communication Issues: There can be occasional communication issues within the team, especially when working remotely. This can lead to misunderstandings and delays in project timelines. Office Politics: Like many companies, there are some office politics that can affect the work environment. Navigating these dynamics can be challenging and detract from focusing on the actual work. Inconsistent Management: Management styles and expectations can be inconsistent, leading to confusion and a lack of clear direction on some projects. More consistency and transparency from leadership would be appreciated.
