Great work environment, very quiet. Great benefits, and I like being around so many very experienced and smart people.

Pros

Many potentials to be on different projects.

Cons

Many competitions internally to be on proposals. Research tasks are very fragmented. Management wants staffs to work on proposals, but frowns if charged hours to proposal writing.

Pros

Company encourages professional development and invests in your education through tuition assistance. Great benefits, including excellent pension fund matching. Flexible in terms of teleworking.

Cons

Long hours during proposal season. Can have a bad experience if stuck in the wrong group and the ability to move around is limited. Also, it is difficult for junior scientists to have a good mentorship experience.
