Pros

Good mission. Nice people. Large impact if you can work on the right projects. Good opportunities to learn and grow.

Cons

Few resources. Lack of ambition in management. Largely funded by government. NGO salaries. Benefits ok. Can be demanding on time.

Pros

Non profit, research only, division of Research Triangle Institute in North Carolina. Offices in US and Europe. Pays well and projects have public health benefit (although clients are virtually all pharmaceutical companies).

Cons

Company is changing and growing; focus of work is in Barcelona and Research Triangle Park, NC. Has grown from <50 to >200 in about 15 years. Management structure has not kept up with growth. Projects and finances are carefully managed; people not so much.
