Pros

+ Projects where you feel like you make a difference. + Many outstanding professionals; world class talent. + Good diversity of work and opportunities to work on new types of projects with different methods. + Professional development is strongly encouraged. + Leadership is approachable and supportive. + Good onsite cafeteria and fitness center + Great opportunity for working from home

Cons

- Collaboration is horrible; plenty of instances of one group within the organization actively undermining another group. - Challenge of work/life balance and percent sold that exists here and in many other contract research organizations. - Not an agile organization - they want to venture into new and innovative areas but aren't willing to do that with excellence - on par with the work they typically do.

Pros

Great benefits, certainly flexible but if you are good you will work a ton of hours

Cons

Scientists are worshiped and egos fed leading to no "support" for support functions and a lack of respect... non-profit culture from "small-company" no longer fits in this mid-size growing company

Pros

RTI-HS is a well-respected scientific organization that conducts some very good research. There are many renowned scientists who work within the organization whose work results make a positive difference in people's health care.

Cons

Unfortunately, the organization is very traditional and hierarchical and appears to be behind the times when it comes to innovation. Innovation and general development is not valued or encourage as it takes time away from being "billable." There are no employee incentives, no rewards or recognition for jobs well-done.
