- Very enclosed and egocentric culture/people. Hard to blend in and be accepted during the first 3 years. It got better after that. But if you like to socialize with your workmates, BBN is not for you. - Being reassigned to different projects sometimes requires major reprofiling from your part, without being asked. It becomes a challenge when you have to do this 3-4 times per year. - Weak training program. Most of the times you are on your own. - Simple and short organization chart - as cons, little opportunities for career advancement. Most of the 20-30 years veterans are still engineers or senior engineers. If you want a job where you want to be promoted like every 3-5 years, BBN is not for you. - Billlability is everything. - General fear in the air regarding the aftermaths of being acquired by Raytheon.

* Deceitful managers. * Too much company politics. * Archaic point of view of doing business. * Favoritism and cronyism * Not suitable for young and energetic people. Very little mentoring. * No upward mobility. * Not very innovative. * Responsible for your own billability. * Will discreetly layoff employees without warning if your billablity falls beneath a certain threshold.
