Cons
Some departmental head roles can be predetermined years in advance, but this is fairly rare. Plenty of annual training done on EH&S, ethics and business practices, for everyone. This can be tiresome, but it ensures the ethical fairness that prevails. UK sites have a lack commitment to R&D, much of which is token gesture, and dictated to be externally funded by at least 50%.
