Pros

Great opportunity to learn. It's a challenging environment that tests you every day and prepares you for your next career move. The company works on exciting programs. The salaries are very good. Felt proud to work there.

Cons

It's a tough culture, very cut-throat. Toxic. Competitive. There are a lot of good, smart people there. After a while, I couldn't take it anymore. I enjoyed the work but decided I needed to work in a less rigid, less bureaucratic, less toxic culture that would allow me to enjoy my life more rather than being constantly worried about my status at work. I would think twice before going there. Too many mind games.

Pros

Very employee-focused company. Numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth. Had the chance to work with very talented people.

Cons

Employee head-count is at the mercy of federal defense spending. I wish more opportunities were available so that I could rejoin the organization.

Pros

When you are making products for the America's men and women in uniform, then you are doing work that saves lives and brings these heroes home to their families. The pay and benefits at Raytheon are great too.

Cons

The worst thing about working about Raytheon is the unpredicability of the business results. The Aerospace and Defense business has huge up and down swings. You never know when you might lose your job.
