Pros

Stable work, solid benefits, company is slow to lay people off, ample time off, steady employment for most functions, good ethics for the most part, cool technology and a mission to be proud of, work life balance, decent business systems

Cons

Mediocre management, slow to change, old white guys are just hanging on until retirement, HR is like junior high, no training dollars, promotions based on who likes you and who you know vs. competency, successful women are battle axes, matrix doesn't work, senior leaders are not held accountable for their selfish decisions and behaviors, good leadership is person, not role-based, a lot of people are just hanging on to get their pensions, ambition discouraged- IIS business is particularly dysfunctional, old office space like the 1980s

Pros

Great benefits. Better than average salary for Tucson area. Provide lots of training opportunities...if you're connected to the right people.

Cons

Company does NOT practice what it preaches with regard to diversity, ethics, morality. It's definitely a "good ol' boys club".

Pros

They pay well and have good benefits. I also liked the schedule where I got every other friday off and 10 days at Christmas in addition to my vacation time.

Cons

The corporate culture is basically a "who you know" networking structure. If you are not friends with someone important you will be shunted to the side and not assured of work to do. The company works on the work order system where you charge all of your time to various numbers, but sometimes you aren't given a number to charge to and the department has to scrounge something up.
