Pros
Flexible hours depending on programs, great people, tons of opportunities to move up or laterally transfer. Overall if you are someone who wants to play the long game, work with a company for 20-30 years slowly moving up the chain, Raytheon will be a great place. Also if you’re lazy and complacent, just looking to do the bare minimum and clock out for the day, Raytheon is a great place.
Cons
Lack of accountability, worsening benefits, awful leadership, terrible raises, WOKE nonsense constantly shoved down your throat, overworked and under paid. Raytheon is a typical corporation, suck the life out of you until you end up quitting for a better job, act puzzled as to why attrition rate is so high, and then blame the employees during global town hall’s, and take softball questions instead of addressing issues that are plaguing the company. Expect to be told how awesome of a job your doing and how your hard work is appreciated, just to get a nice 2% raise and told how the budget doesn’t allow for larger raises….. while exec’s get some fat pay bump and bonus(not the best optics if you ask me). Also don’t be surprised when you’re working at a specific pay grade for a few years at $X amount, and they just hired some newbie in that same pay grade for 20-30k above your salary.
