Great people, fair pay, incredible opportunities
Pros
Work with inspiring professionals, global reach, helping customers succeed at protecting people.
Cons
Increasingly Centralized Management for Programs as well as Human Resources. For instance, Raytheon Global HR is pushing common boilerplate Memoranda Of Understandings, forcing one-size-fits-all (or doesn't fit, as it were) common-language "management solutions" onto people all over the planet, causing increasing admin burden and decreasing actual total income and consideration for employees for the short-sighted convenience of administrators, managers, and stockholders. (I am hoping to see the merger into Raytheon Technologies bring some of UTC's decentralization and brand diversity to moderate these trends.) To be fair, strong management is an enabler for world-class predictability, which is critical in defense markets and especially with things that go boom. Full disclosure: at the end of the day, I am retaining my stock holdings as Raytheon Technologies' future is bright. It'd be brighter if they'd bring me back with some of the perks and considerations I signed on for years ago.
