Pros

The benefits are great, if you have a good direct report manager like I did, she was extremely flexible with schedules and family obligations. Tuition assistance is excellent, almost twice what I've seen at other companies. Depending on management, the capability to telecommute was a stress reducer due to inclement weather.

Cons

Upper management i.e. Directors and above, don't respect the individual contributors that make them shine. Rock ceiling for those who do not wish to conform to senior leaderships agenda. Non-meaningful rotations throughout my organization (Operations), people were rotated just to rotate them. Too many reorganizations.

Pros

The benefits are good and I love having the 9/80 Fridays. Pay is also pretty good to a couple other places I've worked at.

Cons

Management is not at great is they could be, I think us people at the bottom get treated like we are in the bottom. Everywhere you look almost everyone either there father or mother works for the company, best Way to get hired here us if your related to someone. I Can't stand the politics and culture here and management are never open to new ideas even though They day the opposite. Don't know How but alot of the lazy people who do absolutely nothing get promoted alot out here I guess if you know the right people this is the company for you...

Pros

Good benefits package including several medical options (HSA, PPO, HMO) to match your family needs; opportunity to support our men & women of the armed forces; managers generally respectful of time-off & flexible with work/life balance; vacation bumps from 2 weeks to 3 weeks after 1st year

Cons

highly bureaucratic like the government; lots of layers of management; senior management sometimes doesn't make tough decisions or doesn't support junior managers or professionals in decisions they have made; few managers believe in empowerment (lots of micro-managers); promotions are rare; pay increases generally closer to "cost of living" increases; high performers don't get much higher raises than average performers; lots of nepotism (kids getting hired because parents work there).
