Recognize ability and promote from within. Smart leadership as it relates to the big picture

Cons

Good and smart people at leadership level, but the amount of internal politics at the Sr Mgmt level is unusual. None of them trust each other it seems. Performance trumps character.

Very clear about expectations and offered good support tools like call management systems. Enjoyed working the shows.

Cons

Exceeded sales goals first year but was transferred to an adminstrative job because a more senior employee needed a job after they sold the show she worked on.

Reed Exhibitions is considered a leading exhibition organizer worldwide.

Cons

The Hong Kong branch has been losing money for years. The Hong Kong branch management couldn't secure proper corporate resources to support the smooth business operations, i.e. super slow internet speed for years, corporate IT security setting would block the website of Reed's own trade show. Serious internal political struggles between team heads, extremely unfriendly and non-supportive environment. Personal attack and humiliation to junior staff.
