Pros
Pre-pandemic, the Richmond office was a decent enough place to work. The business ran some decent social events and there were a lot of talented people there. Working on the travel portfolio, there were a lot of opportunities for business trips and the chance to work on some of the geo-cloned shows.
Cons
Major office politics Lots of quiet periods in between shows During shows, you're essentially on call 24/7 and don't always get the support from other teams. It shouldn't be down to salespeople to fix everything. Legacy systems Management too focused on the bottom line and not their people. Mass redundancies during COVID meant headcount was massively reduced, putting pressure on the remaining team members. There was also a clear lack of direction in this period, clients were still being told that shows would run even though it was clear they'd be postponed. Virtual events didn't work and resulted in customers being dissatisfied. Commission structure was confusing, comission often paid late and usually incorrectly
