Recognize ability and promote from within. Smart leadership as it relates to the big picture

Cons

Good and smart people at leadership level, but the amount of internal politics at the Sr Mgmt level is unusual. None of them trust each other it seems. Performance trumps character.

I got terrific experience at Reed, I was given a lot of responsibility and had the ability to take projects and run with them. Excellence was recognized and promotions were frequent.

Cons

Very sexist organization, sexism was rampant. You just had to hold your nose and manage your way through it.
