Pros

They have hired some of the most professional and capable people in their fields. They don't stay long, however. This COULD be an amazing company. Great products, strong brand, profitable. A great takeover candidate for someone with deep pockets. Nearly all of the directors would need to go except for a couple.

Cons

All of the one star ratings I have read here are truthful. Pay attention to them. Most toxic culture I've ever been exposed to. Bait and switch is used to recruit here. Be warned. They will face class action at some point for this tactic. All of the high ratings are obvious plants.

Pros

Salary and incentives if you negotiate well upon getting hired. Recognized brand. Products better than most in the industry. Smart but Ruthless Sr. Managers. Well financed, privately held and profitable . Over the years, many very capable and outstanding people.

Cons

Too Many to list. Here are a few: Products not as superior as they were 15 year's ago. Managers manage the HR process of corrective action/replacement of 10% of staff each year and they don't really manage the business. No regard for customers or employees. Managers create issues to put staff in corrective action process; or they end up in the process. Close to becoming number 2 manufacturer in an industry they dominated forever. A better atmosphere at the morgue than in their Tucson or Azusa offices. All employees over 10+ years of service on "the clock" to being targeted for expulsion. HR means keeping the company out of litigation. Most of the outstanding people have left or have been pushed out. Only 25% from their list of the Company Values are actually followed. Not the "Top of Class" anymore. Sr. Mangers speak and live in the world of "Symantec's" and they are OK with it.
