Pros

Allowed me time to find a better job. Pay was OK for Tucson.

Cons

CEO was in his prime in the 80s and lacked understanding of the power of computers. You were not allowed to use words like "Database", or "CRM." The sales people maintained their own systems and when they left the company they took the data with them. Directors are scared of the CEO (owner) and ensure you are scared of them. CEO fired his own family and hired them back then fired them again. In a large meeting, the CEO called an employee "the current placeholder" of a position. Like I said, it was brutal. HR was so busy recruiting there was no time or desire for development.

Out of Date and Inefficient

Pros

I learned a lot of good skills to put on my resume. If you show initiative, you can go far.

Cons

Terrible work environment. Such an inefficient system, it's impossible to get anything innovative done without jumping through a million hoops. This is also an awful environment for women since there are maybe 10 women for every 100 and the men are constantly acting inappropriately towards women

Pros

They used to pay more than other companies... That's no longer true.

Cons

They pretend to care. They throw up a printed out 8.5" X 11" sheet at the top of the stairs saying "take the stairs" and think they made a change. They hired a really good HR person which quit less than a year into the job because the person was tired of banging the head against a wall as all positive change was rejected. Rain Bird finally started commenting on Glass door (usually the same copy and pasted response) but do nothing to actually follow their lip service with action. It really sucks working here and nothing has changed, not even a little. All the negative content on Glass door is true. The handful of positive content wreaks of a forced Rain Bird wing. They drive by fear and do not practice what they preach outwardly. If you join, you will sabotage your career as you become miserable and development really bad cultural habits. Great leaders do the opposite of what Rain Bird does.
