Pros

First level pier groups are great people to work with.

Cons

Abusive Managers (stay away from the agriculture group). Management sets you up to fail. There is no process at Rain Bird. Marketing positions last 6 to 8 months. Most are asked to resign. Flat organization. No advancement. Windowless work environment with high cubicle walls. No creative stimulation. Did I mention, "STAY AWAY FROM AGRICULTURE"!!!! (marketing, manufacturing, quality and engineering jobs)

Pros

Good quality products. Stable, well established company and industry. There are a few major competitors, and a few new comers which will not last.

Cons

Interesting organizational chemistry. I actually like working here from a team perspective. Good employees, professionally astute but beaten down. Initiative discouraged, though officially promoted.

Pros

Above average pay Good people to work with Product is of a good quality Name is well known in industry Sorry, not much else

Cons

So many accurate reviews already written and they are true. Amazon must have copied the Rainbird method. They just aren't upfront with what it will be like working there. Ask basic questions such as: "What is turnover?" They will say "high but most people can't take working for such a high performance company" The Alpha in you will say, "But I can". It's not a high performance organization in terms of product development like an Amazon or Google. It's a old line irrigation company and you won't understand the rules until it is too late. Just take heed of what has been written thus far
