Hardest job/best return

Pros

Job is very rewarding if you are willing to put in extra effort. And of course the more effort you put in early leads to easier times down the road. Cane’s is also very good about recognizing the hard work and paying accordingly. The bonus potential makes the hard work worth it. I’ve found that the work itself can feel extremely overwhelming but with a good team and solid strategy the workload can be distributed and life is easier for all!

Cons

Work/life balance is tough at first. Especially if you are traveling while training. But the effort is worth it in the end

Great Company Culture: Teamwork and community are big here, making it a positive place to work. Career Growth: Lots of opportunities for promotions and development. Supportive Leadership: Management generally cares about your success and offers good support. Employee Recognition: Hard work gets noticed, which makes you feel valued. Quality Focus: It’s easy to take pride in the work because the company is committed to high standards. Good Training: Training is thorough and helps you do your job well.

Cons

Work-Life Balance: The hours can be long, and you’re expected to work on your days off. Rest Days: There can be issues with getting a proper day off, leading to burnout. Scheduling: Schedules can be pretty rigid, making it tough to balance personal life. Communication: Sometimes, there’s a gap between what upper management wants and what happens at the restaurant level.

Cons

Working at Raising Canes has been a challenging experience for myself and my family, as a recent change in the work schedule has placed a significant burden on both my family and personal life. Prior to this change, the job had been going well, but now it feels as though there are no days off, leaving myself feeling completely exhausted. Simple tasks like scheduling doctor or dentist appointments have become nearly impossible, I even had to miss important school activities for my children, which has led to feelings of guilt and inadequacy as a parent. However, I feel trapped in this situation, as the job is necessary to provide a roof over my family's head. Raising Canes is described as a highly controlling environment, where employees are expected to dedicate their entire lives to running the restaurant, with no room for outside commitments or interests. There is a pervasive culture of fear, where workers know that even a momentary lapse in focus could result in immediate termination. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry their whole life, I have never before experienced this level of rigid control and lack of work-life balance. If it were not for the need to support my family, I would have left this job long ago, as the demands have become simply too much to bear.
