Great first job

Pros

Frequent raises, great culture (always hosting parties for crew, celebrating holidays, giving out prizes to crew during meetings and when crew goes above and beyond sometimes), easy to request time off (no black out dates and managers always approve time off as long as you request it off three weeks in advance)

Cons

Pay capped at $18/hr for crew, blatant favoritism (will push personality hire crew to become manager more than tenured crew with average personality), hard to be put in different positions depending on the person (you might be scheduled to always be put in kitchen and never up front despite being cross trained), hours vary too much between crew, some full time crew get close to 40 hours while others struggle to barely get 20 hours, always hiring too many people which means more hours cut, managers are appreciated more than crew members by corporate (managers get bonuses while crew doesn’t), some managers think they know better than the crew members despite some crew members being there longer

Pros

Free food, free canes sauce, learned a lot of lessons

Cons

Don’t judge a book by its cover? Ever heard of that sang? Trust, no one to tell everyone else your business?

Working for Canes

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Some of the pros of working for Canes is the amount of people you get to interact with and have so much fun with on a daily basis. The focus on our mission and vision makes all the Canes similar to make it easier to transition if need be. Another pro is bonus potential/compensation fairness. They accommodated for my needs and made it a safe and easy transfer from my previous job and as I am currently getting promoted. It is a great overall environment.

Cons

Communication in some levels are pretty faint. I like how Canes is hiring mainly internal promotes but some of the externals have found it difficult starting out as management for raising canes. I was external myself and had some struggles but in my area it is hard to keep external hires who don’t already know Canes and what we do.
