Pros

Good benefits, lots of opportunity for upward mobility.

Cons

Sales driven to the point of ridiculous. Forced to market to clients that beg us to stop calling them. Many of my co-workers are actually banned from some companies for being too sales aggressive.

Pros

For new recruiters (less than 3 yrs experience), one-week boot camp which is paid for and has a 'work hard play hard mentality,' fun week and definitely give you an idea of what to expect. Trainers were just great and made it interesting/fun. Afterward, weekly conference calls from upper mgmt to continue training and addressing handling situations. They establish numbers to hit to push your limits and made clear the 'standard of excellence'. Open-door policy. They made it clear that you would need to work hard to excel and the benefits should follow, A LOT of phone time. Definitely gave a good perspective of how to network and search for clients and candidates. Nice colleagues and did have a team mentality. Colleagues, were personable and fun-loving.

Cons

-Despite the boot camp and weekly conference calls, not much mentoring/training after that-- you ask as you need to, but otherwise it's up to you. Many new recruits were at/below standard. -Competitive environment with a slight cut-throat mindset at times; likely similar to other recruiting companies. -Transparent environment and not much privacy, open office (low-wall cubicle). -Hiring manager (at the time) made it clear that there was no risk in whoever they hired, perhaps too honest, and they backed it up by not tracking progress for next couple of months (again, on your own).
