Pros

RapidMiner has been very good to me over the years. The company gives a lot of freedom to employees and rewards strong performance. One thing that stands out is the team environment, there are a lot of smart people who work very hard and leave their ego at the door. I have never been told I couldn't try something new which I value tremendously. This is a really interesting (and growing) market and you get the opportunity to learn how different industries are using machine learning. RapidMiner is also tremendously good about Work-Life balance.

Cons

The job is rewarding but can be very challenging at times. You have to be resourceful as RapidMiner isn't a company going out raising mega rounds and throwing money at problems. The good part of that is the company is run on a solid financial standpoint and we are still hiring in a time when many businesses are laying people off.

Pros

- Huge emphasis on culture and morale - The most transparent leadership team I have EVER worked with; I always felt comfortable asking questions and voicing my opinion. - Consistent communication company-wide - Annual global company meet-up - Earned promotions during my tenure - Collaborative co-workers

Cons

I'm only leaving all these amazing people to advance my career and take on a new challenge, honestly no cons come to mind.

Pros

RapidMiner was an excellent place to work at. I was supported and given every opportunity to give my thoughts and input on any collaborative project, even as a new hire. What's more, the company did an amazing job making the transition from a physical office to completely remote work, and my superiors were always helpful and patient with setbacks and difficulties resulting from the pandemic. What's more, the transition itself felt smooth and natural, with no real loss of communication or efficiency among my teammates and myself.

Cons

Even though the transition to remote work was very smooth, there are still changes happening, and the company as a whole is still settling into and optimizing the work-from-home setup. While personally I never found this a problem, someone who has a hard time adapting to new workflows, especially collaborative ones, may find it difficult at first.
