Lagging Benefits, Out of Touch Policies

Pros

Working here is stable and it probably isn’t a bad deal if you are brand new to the field.

Cons

Benefits and pay are not great at RJ. They lag behind other employers in the same space as well as employers in neighboring fields. Recent changes have been made to water down the benefits that are unique such as bonuses for tenure - now you get points to an online store that sells cheap, outdated electronics for more than they would go in a thrift store. The culture felt like a “boys club” and management uses pressure to force employees into networking activities multiple times a week. The software that is used by the company is outdated compared to competitors. Raymond James focuses on people and independence in its mission statement and vision yet does not have any flexibility in regards to recent RTO policies.
