      Pros

      Conservative firm, trusted financial advisors. Significant investment in 2012 for new systems and technology. Well defined strategy for IT.

      Cons

      Frequent reorganizations within IT which create a challenge for individuals to stay focused on the work at hand. Several senior level IT executives (e.g., VPs, SVPs) have demonstrated an aggressive leadership style that has resulted in many key people within IT fleeing the firm. The leadership style of some executives has resulted in an overall feeling within their organization of feeling de-valued and unappreciated. This is not the work environment that promotes an engaged workforce, hopefully things will change.

      Pros

      They have never had a layoff. They retain associates very well. Small enough to get to know upper management. Big enough to have a name in the community and be known to high-net worth investors.T hey pride themselves on being consistent and reliable and they don't make big bets or risks.

      Cons

      Very conservatively run means they don't pay very well. Hardly any opportunity for promotion or upward growth. Technology is poor versus their competitors.
