Pros

- 9/80 Schedule - Flexible PTO - work/life balance is decent

Cons

- company keeps re organizing - no job security - tools keep changing with little to no training - no room for growth for the EA Role - treated like the lunch lady - upper management keeps changing and so do our policies. It’s hard to keep up. - There is no streamlining in this company. Everyone beats to their own drum. - parking is a nightmare. They tore up the Parking lot last year and have not worked on it in months. - Budgets keep getting cut

Pros

- Each program is it's small, little entity that occasionally will get together to have fun. -Steady employment with less lay-off than previous defense contractors I have worked with.

Cons

-Advancement is particular hard. You really have to know someone in order to do so. And some jobs have no room for advancement. Such as Quality Control. -Lack of communication. All defense contractors have this to a certain extent but Raytheon is REALLY bad about it. - Lack of funds. Raytheon got in a little bit of trouble with the government (google it) and has a hefty fine to pay. And we are feeling it. We will be for some time. -Management changes personnel at the drop of a hat.

Pros

The past flexibility of working from home was one of the few good things, along with a 9/80 schedule and some decent coworkers. DOGE (unless they become obsolete) is trying to cut costs from the US government. Shouldn’t they cut expenses by kicking out some useless leadership and management teams who sit on their a*ses from wherever they want, telling employees to do whatever they want, including returning to office? Some RTX management is so toxic and volatile that a few co-workers have died out of stress in recent times. It happens frequently here, and the company does not let this news out to the public.

Cons

Everything else, including stupid, low-caliber management and unqualified leads, creates a so-called matrix organization where you do itsy-bitsy work but report to 20+ so-called leads. Pathetic!
