Pros

The company does show a good amount of benevolence for their employees. At the beginning of the year they initiated new commissions that we can earn. Sometimes we get free lunches, win giftcards, and receive other perks. For my job, I work in a call center type of environment and so I can leave my work at work. My supervisor is a great person to talk with/be with and he really cares about my well being.

Cons

Had to endure an operational meltdown in March that caused severe repercussions on our daily work for weeks that had so many people scratching their heads on how badly this endeavor was not thought out effectively. Thankfully, everything was fixed in time but it left a bad taste in all the employee's mouths.

Thank you for your post. I appreciate the fact that you took the time to write a balanced review and your advice was spot on. I was in Greer last week listening to calls, and I walked away very impressed by the professionalism of the team. All the best to you, Kurt Twining

Pros

I've been a part of RealPage for the better part of a decade now in various positions. As a young open minded individual the possibilities for growth have been incredibly valuable. if you make time for a project, its fairly simple to influence process change. You don't have to actually do much to completely change the way your group works. Generlly whoever has the loudest most pervasive voice gets the vote.

Cons

... Influence often goes unchecked. For the most part the leadership team has a good head on their shoulders. unfortunately senior leadership is entirely over worked and over burdened to actually guide and lead. If the SVP's and higher were able to focus on finding the RIGHT front line leaders and identifying inefficiencies vs individually contributing, the entire company would benefit exponentially for every minute they spent. There are fledgling leadership developement programs but this will never replace accountability...no matter how you spin the bottle if the person doesnt posses the skills to lead people and process they shouldn't be in the position.

Thank you for you post. You hit upon one of the primary reasons that differentiates good from great companies and that is front line leadership or quite frankly any leadership position. I believe the accountability word is becoming more prominent in the company, that does not mean it wasn't there in the past, but there are actions in place now and more coming forward, without going into great detail that highlight the lower performers. This topic of finding the right leaders, is one that almost every company takes seriously and I can assure you we do as well. Your advice to Management is correct. We must expect everyone to read and practice the RealPage promise to the highest level. In 2016, you will see this element in everyone's performance review. Sincerely, Kurt Twining
