      Pros

      The management, especially mid-level, had a good attitude towards their employees and to me, a contract employee. Recology is mostly employee-owned, so there are a lot of benefits and decent, competitive pay for the route drivers.

      Cons

      Some of the trash routes seemed to be comparatively "uneven" as far difficulty and length of time to finish all the work. It seemed that Recology was trying a new way to rectify this by installing meters and cameras in the trucks.

      Pros

      Great benefits including ability to make an impact by being an employee owner. Employees have two retirement plans. Great career opportunities with a growing company. Love the commuter benefits subsidy and the generous PTO.

      Cons

      The company tends to run lean so you may get pulled in multiple directions. Computer systems need to be brought up to date.

      Pros

      first of all, i love the business vision of zero waste in our environment. second, the company has an awesome artist program that further the recycling concept. it's a business-casual work environment where jeans are allowed. the corporate office has a great work environment located at downtown financial area, next to the ferry building. the work culture is great, people here are friendly and most importantly, there's opportunity for growth. managers are supportive of trainings you need for career growth and new opportunities in your interest.
