Pros
I have worked here for almost a year now and I really like how everyone is included in the overall plan for the company. From entry level to management, they ask for your voice and really try to use what you say. I appreciate all the positive and dedicated employee owners and feels like a family place to work. Corporate is not so distant and I feel they have a good pulse on the day to day. Everyone cares about the safety as well as work life balance but there is an expectation to work hard. For those employees who see value in their hard work, that is not a negative but a positive. The company's commitment to environmental sustainability is not just a slogan but real, even in this depressed recycling market.
Cons
This is very hard work, working in the garbage industry. You work with people with all types of backgrounds from homeless to highly educated and I think this can cause tension sometimes we try to be diverse in a diverse world that isn't always so friendly to diversity.
